Senior IT Technician St. Paul's College is seeking a Senior IT Technician to join our IT Department.

Job Description:

  • Provide day-to-day IT/AV support to staff, students and parents via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, networks, classroom IT facilities, email, office applications, and printers.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Assist in managing IT/AV related issues in school activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or related discipline;
  • Minimum 1 year of IT Support experience;
  • Knowledge of OS X and Windows Operating System. Linux familiarity is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (both Windows and Mac environment);

Founded in 1851, St. Paul's College is the oldest secondary school in Hong Kong and currently runs under the Direct Subsidy Scheme. Its mission is to offer to youths of Hong Kong a modern, liberal education in the English language (but not excluding the subject of Chinese language in the curriculum) upon Christian principles, Protestant and Evangelical, as professed by the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui. We are now seeking a new Principal who will take up this post from September 2025. The Principal is accountable to the College Council, which comprises of 18 members, and is responsible for the elevation of College to the highest academic standards, nurture of its students with high moral values, and administration of the College. The Principal is also expected to maintain close contact and liaise with representatives of the Education Bureau and various stakeholders.

English Debate Coach

We are looking for a dedicated and committed English debate coach who can equip our students with essential debating and communication skills for the academic year 2024-2025.


Responsibilities:

The debate coach’s responsibilities will include:

  • holding weekly practice sessions from 3.45 pm to 5.15 pm;
  • teaching team members, who are Forms 1 and 2 students, debating techniques, such as formulating arguments, making rebuttals and critical reasoning;
  • develop debaters’ oral communication skills, such as fluency, posture & gestures, stress and intonation; and
  • sustaining participants’ interest in the intellectual engagement and debate activities.

Optional duties (as needed):

  • coaching students for external competitions; and
  • assisting in organising and adjudicating debate competitions.

Service Period: October 2024 – April 2025 (tentatively 10 to 15 sessions)


Experience

We require someone who:

  • has extensive experience in local and/or international debating competitions;
  • has a thorough understanding of different debating formats, such as the Local Schools Style, the World Schools Style and the British Parliamentary Style;
  • has preferably debate coaching experience at the secondary school level;
  • is knowledgeable about socioeconomic issues; and
  • displays a high command of the English language.

Summer Architecture Course Instructor for VA Department

The College is seeking a Summer Course Instructor to deliver a face-to-face Academy Programme for an architecture course to junior form students.   • has extensive experience in local and/or international debating competitions;
  • has a thorough understanding of different debating formats, such as the Local Schools Style, the World Schools Style and the British Parliamentary Style;
  • has preferably debate coaching experience at the secondary school level;
  • is knowledgeable about socioeconomic issues; and
  • displays a high command of the English language.
